We are looking for someone to Join our team as a:

Food Production /Assistant Manager Position

                  Your Role with us would be a multi-faceted position, you would be responsible for the overall day to day production in our facility; ensuring our  Quality standards and record keeping are upheld.  You would be responsible for actual food production along with Production scheduling, order logistics and facility maintenance.  Ideally you would transition into this semi-managerial position after a sufficient training period; but with regular weekly production work still part of your job description.

This is a permanent position, with starting Hours per week in the 25-30 range; and ramping up to  30-40 hours after a full training period.

Responsibilities include:

Food Prep and Cleanup

Food Production work, packaging and shipping orders

Filing documents and records for traceability and food safety systems

Ensuring that the kitchen is properly cleaned on a regular schedule, waste is disposed of properly and the kitchen meets all sanitary standards.

Other duties as Asked. We are a growing company and the right candidate will grow with us

Required Skills/ Qualifications

A Passion for creating food

Attention to detail; workers must keep track of and follow a lot of details in day to day operations.

Abilities to work in a fast paced commercial kitchen setting.

Exceptional organization skills, ability to follow and maintain checklist procedures.  Keeping work schedules, shipments, cleaning schedules and more organized is crucial to the job

Strict adherence to hygiene and food safety practices.  A high degree of personal Cleanliness and skills/eagerness for facility cleanliness and sanitation.

Experience with computer programs like MS Office, and being comfortable learning new computer program skills.

Ability to efficiently self direct work on your own and follow schedules.

 Valid BC driver’s licence

Ability to lift up to 50lbs during daily work activities

 Ability to work effectively in a team environment or on your own

 Ability to work in a highly repetitive task environment

 Ability to work in a cold refrigerated environment

 Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends

 Ability to perform repetitive tasks with speed and accuracy 

Food Safe certification

 

Compensation:

pay is very competitive for the industry.

You will start on a 3 month training/probationary period.  Benefits and increased pay rate after probationary period.
