The Best Guacamole

If you’re going to have a big bowl of chips and a fresh, healthy, organic salsa — then you may as well top it off with some homemade guacamole! 

Get creative with your guacamole — beyond our suggestions here, you can toss in other fruits you have in your fridge!

And here’s a hot tip: if you have leftovers, place thinly sliced limes on the surface of the guacamole before covering it and storing it in your fridge for a day or two — this will prevent it from going brown!

Ingredients:

5 or 6 very ripe avocados

1 cup strawberries, halved and thinly sliced, and/or 1 mango, chopped into small cubes

Half a red onion, finely diced

2 cloves of garlic, finely minced

½ pint cherry tomatoes, halved, or 1 large tomato, chopped

Juice of one lime

Generous amounts of salt and pepper, to taste

1 tsp cumin

1 small scoop of sour cream (optional) 

A couple splashes of hot sauce (optional)


To assemble:

Peel avocados and place in a large bowl, then smash them with a fork until smooth

Add in the remaining ingredients, and mix to thoroughly combine

Serve and enjoy!
